– Chi sei tu?
E questo li ricondusse di nuovo al principio della conversazione. Alice si sentiva un po’ irritata dalle brusche osservazioni del Bruco e se ne stette sulle sue, dicendo con gravità:
– Perché non cominci tu a dirmi chi sei?
– Perché? – disse il Bruco. Era un’altra domanda imbarazzante.
Alice scende nei sotterranei, scava, cambia continuamente direzione, prende delle decisioni, sceglie, si perde, attraversa spazi e forme, ma soprattutto, cambia. Cambia continuamente: forma, misura, luogo. Fino a non sapere più chi è, fino a sovvertire i ruoli, i generi, le convenzioni. Fino a pensare che non esista più nulla di impossibile.
Alice Underground è un testo teatrale collettivo site specific per un gruppo di adolescenti.

– Who are you?
Which brought them back again to the beginning of the conversation. Alice felt a little irritated at the Caterpillar’s making such very short remarks, and she drew herself up and said, very gravely:
– I think, you out to tell me who you are, first.
– Why?- said the Caterpillar. Here was another puzzling question.
Alice goes down, to the underground. She digs, she constantly changes direction, she makes decisions and choices, she gets lost, she crosses spaces and shapes but, above all, she changes. She changes over and over again: shape, size, place. Until she doesn’t know anymore who she is, until roles, genders and norms are subverted. Until the point she thinks that nothing is impossibile.
Alice Underground is a site-specific project for a group of adolescents.
